International Yoga Day

International Yoga Day is celebrated on 21st of June. Our respected Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi said Yoga is not only just burning your calories and toning your muscles but also Yoga has played a major role in connecting the world with India.
Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi was dressed in a white T-shirt and loose white trouser shared the stage in Lucknow with the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath who too accompanied him for yoga. Many offices celebrated Yoga day. In Chandigarh, it was celebrated in “Sector-17”.

Along with this on International Yoga day famous sports stars like the basketball icon Abdul-Jabbar, Three times NBA championship winner Le-Bron James and the legendary Cricketing legend Sachin Tendulkar revealed the truth that yoga helped them a lot in their throughout the career.

A number of Bollywood stars like Shilpa Shetty, Bipasha Basu, Malaika Arora Khan etc also confess that Yoga is the secret of their fitness and beauty as well.
International Yoga day is being celebrated in approximately 180 nations of the world. The United Nations headquarters in New York has been lit up with the images of yoga postures.

Over 200 million people were estimated to have participated in the event which is higher than last year. Yoga is the best thing to keep your mind stress –free and calm. You can earn your energies back; your body will feel relaxed and fresh. You will get glow on your face and your body have strong immunity power. We all know the importance of Yoga. Baba Ramdev is the famous personality for yoga.

On the other hand, firming up and stretching poses along with deep breathing practices provides relaxation to the body as well as the mind. There are more than 100 different types of yoga some of them are “Viniyoga,  Integrative yoga therapy, Phoenix rising yoga, Irest yoga etc. which all helps us to heal.


If we talk about ancient Indian tradition then according to it there is no need to take medicines, Yoga is the cure of all kind of health issues. In other words, we can say Yoga is a panacea for all kind of health disorders. Nowadays yoga is very essential for everyone. We should do yoga on daily basis to keep our body fit and active. Let’s promise ourselves that we will do Yoga on daily basis and keep ourselves fit.
